First case of Streptococcus pluranimalium meningitis isolated at Kibogora district hospital

Streptococcus pluranimalium has mainly been found to cause infections in animals and was rarely isolated humans. Very few cases of streptococcus have reported the literature. We report a first case meningitis pediatric patient. This patient treated successfully with combination 3rd generation cephalosporin chloramphenicol since her day admission. Only 4 human caused by were cases. didn’t find neither adult nor this new novel species pluranimalium. Clinical doctors remember that rare pathogen like primarily can be causative agent infection. More diagnostic methods are needed detect early what could germs And when is isolated, line antibiotics will vancomycin, carbapenems, linezolid, aminoglycosides, cephalosporins.
